To much oil?

Been a while since I posted, always come here because everyone is so helpful. Just how your supposed to do, every other fill up I add some oil in. I'm thinking I poured to much? I just went to do that again and I popped my hood, and I have oil in the air box area? Can't do what I need to do till tomorrow? Would I just clean out the k&n air intake and MAF or do I have to do anything else? And is this problem extra serious. Car runs perfect still no sputterijg or anything.Thank you.

It could be due to excessive crank case pressure, which would indicate and engine that is not healthy.

The obvious thing to do would be to check your oil level............

Oil level was fine, I noticed the oil and checked the level, and it was just below "max". I hope it isn't anything extra serious.

Well if you did not over fill it, then it is a crankcase ventilation issue. What year is your RX-8?

Just checked the oil after work again, still fine. Car idles perfect, acceleration and starts perfect. But it's a 2008, reman engine has 20k miles on it.

Update:popped the air filter off, and there isn't any oil down the tube or anything, it's completely dry.

It's possible that when you last added oil that it got into the vacuum line that are located buy the oil cap/neck. Next time use a slender funnel that will help you bypass those vac lines. That's if you're referring to the oil being within the intake tube.
