Having some serious problem with my Mazda rx8 it is my third Mazda rx8 which I have owned and never had this problem before. Car have run perfectly until now, had it for two weeks now. Immobilize light flashes No crank when i turk key, just a click sound but the dash lights up with all the lights. Then the immobilize light flashes. I have checked fuses and changed Most of them, checked wires, could not find anything. Only thing that worked was to remove minus pool, turk key to on, then go out and out minus pool back on and go in and crank car. But it felt like it did not go as good as it used to. And then two days after same happend again. Left car at parking went down hours later to same problem. Getting kinda frustrated on this.

Sounds like the battery or the battery terminals are worn out. The click you're hearing is the starter relay, but there's not enough juice in the system to turn the starter. Either something is running down the battery, or maybe more likely given what you found, the battery straps aren't tight or are corroded/dirty. Test battery voltage, and make sure the terminals are clean and clamps tight so they can't move.

Definitely agree that it's a battery issue. You can get it tested for free at Autozone.
