FL N3z1

I called three Mazda dealerships and provided my VIN number for the proper ECU to my RX8 and the only response I got was from one of the dealerships who told me my VIN ran according to ECU N3Z1. Well checking on an automatic 2004 Mazda RX8, I came across several N3Z1's:

N3Z1 18 881D
N3Z1 18 881E
N3Z1 18 881F
N3Z1 18 881G
N3Z1 18 881H
N3Z1 18 881J
N3Z1 18 881K

Would any of these ECU's work for my RX8? I'm dying to start her up. Any help would be of great value to me!!!

And "I think" (not sure) you'll have to go to dealer **** (yes ****) to get the ECU married to the alarm system or it won't start.

It's all the same ECU board without the Extra connector pins for controling APV, the only difference between the above is the software revision, a brand new ECU will always come with the newest version. which has a latter letter.

getting a new ECU is just part A of the process (assume urs failed), u will need IDS to get them married with the rest of the car, especially the immobilizer system.

Again,

What makes you think it failed? If the car still works and you get an occasional 610, I had my problem solved by CBM (circuit board medics). They did a good job, and can clone the security data from the old ECU. This is helpful if your old one can provide it, but not that useful if the old one caught fire. That is why I was asking about the old one.
