Need advice before I give up!!

Does anyone know what to do if 2004 RX 8 will not start after its been running for a while? Has new starter, spark plugs, starter sensor, relays, battery, nothing works. Ive been all over to find an answer!

Define start? Turns over? Hot start issues are signs of bad compression which is bad news for you.

It sounds like you have hot start issues, so a good place to start is a rotary-specific compression test, as mentioned, assuming you have not done it yet.

I'm assuming it starts again after it cools off?
That's classic bad compression.

If it's not starting at all, that's different.

Don’t be so quick to give up. Hopefully the salesman didn’t have the car already running when you took the test drive.

When in doubt, compression test. If engine is making decent numbers it’s usually fuel or ignition related. Good luck!

Typical signs of low compression. I would suggest a compression test with a rotary compression tester. You want to make sure you have a good base to start with. If the engine has low compression then it's time for a rebuild or replacement
