Need help with my 06 Mazda rx8
So I noticed my car is not fully starting up it takes a bit and I'm not that great mechanic wise but my dad is.. My battery was pretty **** so I replaced it. I feel like it would be the starter or maybe alternator also when I fill up on gas it seems to not want to start any ideas please help thanks everyone

What do you mean by your car is not fully starting?
Is it taking too long to start? You've mentioned your battery is new. Maybe you bought one lacking the required CCA to start it easily?
It sounds like you may also have a hot-start issue, if it's worst when you gas up.

Read through the new and potential owners thread which is linked in my SIG.
How old is your ignition?
Have you had a compression test recently?
Which starter do you have? N3H1A? N3Z1? N3R3?

The starter will have one of those numbers on it if it's manual transmission .
Is it an automatic? Those starters are different...
Compression test numbers would look something like.
Rotor 1 100, 103, 106psi
Rotor 2 100, 104, 106psi
Rpm 250
It requires a ROTARY SPECIFIC compression tester.
Only you would know how old the ignition is.

mine started doing this and so far in my process to fix it, i replaced all spark plugs, and that instantly helped, next on my hit list is ignition coils because rumor is there turn to **** around 30,000. and if that doesnt fix it im going to the fuel pump. but the spark plugs alone, took me from a 6 min warm start to roughly 30 seconds. hope this helps!

I've pulled OEM ignition coils from my car @120k that were supposedly still the original ones.
The condition of them make me wonder how it managed to not exhibit and starting and running issues...
Coils, plugs and wires on an RX8 are consumables, coils probably more than with other cars.

I would start with a compression test, until you know your engine has good compression you are just guessing and wasting money. Once you know your compression is good then you can troubleshoot the problems.

Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear about the rough start with your 8.
First things first, you made a big mistake buying this car without researching.
Read this thread a few times to gain a better understanding of the car this will help you take precautions and keep her going strong..

Now let's get back to your issue; Replace your ignition components (coils, plugs and wires) yes, all of them at once. Yes, they go bad every 25-30K. Better solution is, BHR kit, your coils last longer than the car itself you only replace plugs at every 30k.
Check your Starter as advised by Travis.
Inspect your CAT, if it's clogged due to old ignition, it will result in killing your motor.
Solutions are, if your cat is clogged then get a new cat, gutt the existing cat or get a midpipe, please consider the emission laws in your state before making a decision.
Most importantly, get a compression test done from Mazda or a Rotary specific mechanic to get a better understanding of how healthy your engine is.
Wish you all the best

won't start codes p0113 and p0076 came up
first when running still cades p0113 and p0076 and p0301 came up with the obd11 reader. Also needing a new raidator as mine was cracked at the top.
so I wasnt rely driving it till I could get a new one installed. I didnt want to mess it up further. I went to move it for street cleaning and will not start. Made a wierd humming noise and would not cluck over. Now seems dead and codes u0100 and u0073 come up. I have no idea what to do. Most mechanics don't want to mess with the rotary engine and I dont have much money. Help??

I suspect the battery ran down if it sat parked for more than a couple of weeks. Get a boost or recharge it. Definitely don't drive it with a cracked rad though.
The codes are all in reference to electrical systems so I would clear them and see what comes back on a fresh battery.
Also, this isn't really a great car for small budgets. It doesn't need much but the things it needs can get expensive.
