Need help with my rx8 asap

So I bought an rx8 and had to replace the clutch we did all that it went smoothly EVERYTHING was fine. Till recently someone tried cutting my gas line idk why or who but they didn't know where a gas line was on my car so they cut a vacuum line 😒. I replaced the vacuum line and noticed a coolant and gas leek top engine dripping down so I pulled off my manifold and saw that some lines were pulled out of where they should be, I watched it videos and checked the forums before reconnecting every thing, now here is where my issue lies my engine is rebuilt and I don't think the person I bought it from used all the same hoses from factory some are replaced so when I see threads about what they should look like I got confused, needless to say I reconnected EVERYTHING it started fine idled fine I turned it off put some gas I had in a can into it and started it again and let it run, it ran smoothly until I got it moving.... Then it's rpms dipped low and almost stalled and I went 3 blocks and I had to pull over and stop cuz it had steam rolling out the hood, I brought it home and parked it , hitting the forums again. I found the brake stomp thing thinking it could be because of disconnected battery. BRAKE STOMPING doesn't do anything it doesn't move the needle or remove the flashing traction control note. And now on top of it I have the smokey clouds rolling out my exhaust.... Before replacing the vacuum line and taking off my manifold EVERYTHING ran great this car was a god in it's prime. I can only dread that I put a coolant line where a fuel line should be or vice versa.... Can somebody please please help. (Also in those three blocks my engine got hot, way hotter than usual) ( I've owned this car a month and it's my first rx-8)

There is no fuel line anywhere behind the manifold.
The brake stomping thing isn't relevant here. You had the battery out, so everything is already reset. Turning the wheel left and right all the way will calibrate the sensors needed for the traction control light to go away.

Steam from the hood and overheating engine are all signs that you have coolant escaping somewhere. How hot did it get? Can you find where coolant might be coming out now? Since you found a coolant leak did you add coolant to the appropriate level before running the car?
Because these engines are easily destroyed by overheating.

It sounds like you might have switched a vacuum line with a coolant line, but I think as a next step we're going to need pictures to help you plug it all in correctly.

As for smoke from the exhaust. Never a great sign, what colour is it? White? Blue?

And please write in complete sentences, it's a bit hard to read this.

I misspoke before, you do have the primary to secondary rail line under the manifold, but all the fuel lines have a fitting on the end. It would take serious effort to connect it to a vacuum nipple. And the car wouldn't run at all, you'd have gas everywhere. But who knows! Let's get pics.

also, i did the brake stomp and reset my traction control. i want to put it on an obd reader but orielys is a jaunt and idk if i feel ok limping it there in its current state i dont want to permanently damage anything, she idles fine on the first start up, but she gets so hot even if its only on for 5-10 minutes my temp gauge doesn't move up. but my lines are super hot and u can feel it comjng off the engine bay, ive had cars that have overheating issues and thats what this feels like. it never used to get this hot before someone tried to sabotage it by cutting my fuel line and coolant / vacuum lines. im wondering what really is the problem. i can start it and drive it but as soon as it moves more than a block it starts losing power sputtering when i put the gas down. also theres an occasional sound of grinding (not while shifting) it may be my drive shaft as i did a recent clutch replacement and i may need to re torque. im at such a loss and so confused on what my actual issue is. ive read forum after forum, thread after thread. i just dont understand.

Are the fans turning on when you idle?
How is the coolant level?

The temp gauge doesn't move until about 230F, which is not a good temp to be in, but since the gauge is not moving that's also the upper limit of how hot it can be getting.
Pictures would really help. It could be super simple.

We can help you understand and troubleshoot, but we need info, and none of the questions in my first response have been answered.

ok so to answer your questions.

No coolant leak anywhere.

No gas leak anywhere.

i dont know the exact temp on how hot it gets as it doesn't really display that but hot to the touch.

white smoke but not in massive thick clouds like the first time ( the first time it was blue tho.)

there's a slightly burning smell to it also.

i will check on the fans in a moment after dinner.
