Hi every one im new to the forum and im a new rx8 owner.
I own an 04 automatic that i bought last may and an apex seal shattered two months in and i just rebuilt the engine my self it sounds good and seems like it should work but it wont start.
I can get it to turn over but then it floods almost immediately. The strange thing is three of the spark plugs always look flooded the 4th on the other hand is pristine.
naturally this raises huge questions and it just plum doesn't make any sense.
also on our spark plugs whats the cifrence between T and L

L = Leading and is the Lower plugs
T = Trailing and is the Top plugs
Check your coil-to-plug connections with the wires, make sure the right coil is firing the right plug:

Have you cleaned and reset the E-shaft profile? It's commonly forgotten on engine replacements.
Do you have the fuel injector plugs hooked up in the right order? It's another common mistake: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tec...iagram-250850/
Frankly, if you don't know the difference between the leading and trailing plugs, I have severe concerns that you didn't also miss other rather significant items during this rebuild and reinstall, items that need a lot of care and attention to detail and turn your rebuild into a paperweight if not handled correctly....

i noticed my old ones had ls on two of them and pointed out the definitely weren't the same plug and i think it is a part of this current problem
i knew they were diffrent i frazed it wrong what specifically does the l do that the t doesn't or vice versa

They just have different firing properties because they fire under different conditions. The only reason to go with different plugs is if you are forced induction. A simple plug diffference won't produce one plug that isn't firing at all though.
The instructions for the ESS are in the first post of the "Misfire" thread listed in my signature.
