Hey RX8Club!
So after 5 years of staring at the RX8, I finally own one since yesterday! It's the Renesis HP version in blue. The car has about 48.000 miles on it and is imported from the UK by the first dutch owner.
Driving RHD in a LHD country isn't so bad. Looking, mirroring, etc feels unnatural, when I want to enter the car I walk to the wrong side and so on. I catch myself sometimes driving with my left side over the lane markings on the left. Shifting requires some attention, as I have gotten used to think that gear 1 is "Pull towards me and up", which makes me shift towards the 5. But I just drove it for 60miles/100km, so I'm still getting used to it. I plan to own this car until its last mile, just like with my Mazda Lantis (323F BA for Europe). I owned it for 6 years before I gave it away to my mom because her car died.
The car needs some work tho. It's just the bumpers and the rims that had a pretty bad paintjob, but you only really see it when you pay attention to it. The front lights need to be polished and there are some small bubbles of rust on 2 places I would prefer to have fixed. Technically in a good shape tho, and the price was ridiculous so I'm not allowed to complain
The car running like on double-cream really, and the sound it makes is just out of this world, like an engine is supposed to sounds in these modern times.
I hope to learn alot here!
