New engine, same symptoms

Earlier in the month i posted about my engine acting up and spuddering and not running

Well i recently finished my car and put a whole new engine in it, ran the vin and its the same exact engine that i had in my car before. Everything is the same but the car still spudders, is hard to start, backfires at low rpms and will not stay running. I have no idea what it could be at this point. We changed the coil pack, and we might buy a new MAF sensor. but besides that i have no clue what to do. The car has a GReddy turbo kit on it with a turbo upgrade from Turblown. It was tuned by Jeff at mazdamaniac but that was acouple years ago. Help

New engine has VERY good compression levels

Well where to start?
ESS failure
ECU failure
Vacuum leak
Broken exhaust manifold

And what do you mean its the exact same engine? So the broken engine is back in?

Last but not least you really need to start your tune from scratch again.

gunna go out on a limb here and say you probably dont want to be using a custom tune from one engine on another engine and expect it to work without issue.

Like WCS alluded to, sounds like your tune was borked from the start.

That's apparently the most common mistake on an engine replacement. I would theorize that incorrectly hooked up injectors wasn't your prior problem though

Check the Engine replacement DIY thread for the correct connections.
