Smile New to the forum

Hey guys

Im new to the forum. I actually posted a month or two ago that im new and will be adding photos of my car soon. 2006 Blue Mazda RX8. Bought with a second engine in with just under 9000miles on it. Will be installing the latest Coilpack, Ignition leads and Starter soon. I do have one or two questions though.

I tried creating a thread in one of the other forums, but said i don't have enough privileges to do so. Do i need to have a certain amount of posts before im able to create new threads? The other question is Audio. I noticed I need to install a new faceplate to install a new audio deck, but have no experience in audio installations at all. Could someone give me a list of things i need to have Audio installed in my 8? Im not looking to install a major sound system. Looking at a system with possibly no sub, but with 7x10 woofers instead.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ill have a buddy of mine install my sound as he is the more experienced one.

Side note: My Boss frontloader is giving me disc errors constantly thats why i want to rather replace it.

Thanks guys!

That's explained in the thread at the top of this forum that says "...Read This First" in big red letters.

I'm happy with the OEM radio (if you saw my audiogram you'd understand), so I've never messed with the audio system, but there's a lot of information in the Interior Audio and Electronics forum. Worth browsing htere. The DIY forum also has articles on how to disassemble and reassemble things without doing collateral damage.

Lol Ok so im a bit of an *** for not reading the Read This First in big red letters Im also happy with the OEM Radio, but its just a bit of a pity there is no usb input or Aux input because all my discs just doesn't seem to play properly. Keeps on playing half songs and then spits out my discs. So kinda sucks that its giving me issues.

Where could i find your audiogram?

If you want an aftermarket radio you need a metra system and a new faceplate. There are a lot of forums for aux cables in the audio section. In 30 days or a bunch of posts you can post elsewhere, but google searches help a lot
