Guess I'll just ask my question here.
08 s1 rebuild.. looking to add longevity to the motor. I have seen places where increasing the oil pressure to 110-120 psi is good. If I do that, should I use looser main bearings? I've already have the comp rotor bearings coming which are a little looser. If I increase the oil pressure, should I use a higher flow oil pump from a turbo rx7? I am adding a sohn adapter and will be premixing for the life of the car. I will also be doing so work on all the exhaust ports on the irons to take off the "carbon shelf".
Anything else recommended?
Unfortunately my local rotary shop doesn't like rx8s bc of a lawsuit they lost years ago.
