Welcome.
You can go to local events.
There are rallies like Deal's Gap Rotary Rally (DGRR, Tail of the Dragon) in April, and Sevenstock in Irvine, California in October come to mind.
You can also post pics here.

40th anniversary Edition
Check the Regional forum here for your area. The local RX8 folks will know what events are around your area the may be easier to get to than the bigger events.
Took my 40th Anniversary Edition RX8 to an annual car show in MD a few of years ago, and low and behold , I came away with a second place trophy.

That's a great start. Mine is a 2008 also. Very clean, inside and out. Car shows have different categories and judges, but being a rarer car (RX8) can help. Just have fun showing the car and enjoy, whether you win something or not.

+1 for Tail. My brother's on the east coast and goes there fairly often. If your into the Drift scene, East Coast Bash is apparently the party to go to, as it's smoke and tires and food and noise. All awesome things in my opinion, alas my heart is made of petrol and oil.
