CA New Guy Here. Learning rotaries, never been happier

What's up everyone? I'm Mike. I just bought my RX-8 on Saturday. I did tons of research using this forum as a major resource. The one I finally settled on has been for the most part properly maintained. 119k miles on the chassis, with 45k on the engine. Whitewater pearl with leather interior and all the goodies including the OEM body kit. So far I've just been going through and changing all the fluids and making sure everything is right. Not burning oil bad at all, and burning no coolant. I started out getting cruddy fuel economy as well, but cleaning the MAF has put me up to about 18mpg. I'm sure after I've smogged it and removed the cat it will get better. Then, it's on to cooling mods, and finally suspension.

Congratulations... Are you in SoCal? There's an S2K, CR-X, and another 8 in the background.
