New guy, looking to buy a 6 spd RX-8
Hey everyone, I'm Mike. Looking to research and purchase an RX-8 for track duty. I am a current Focus ST owner which I will be keeping in addition to the 8. I autocrossed with my ST this year in RTF and had some great results, with a good friend of mine (an RX-8 owner no less) taking a first place spot at a national event with the car.
Anyway, I just sold my weekend fun car, a 1999 Mustang Cobra, to purchase an 8 (still undecided between Series I and Series II). It was supercharged, built rear end, trans, etc... 428 rwhp and ran low 12's in the 1/4. But, I am ready to move on to an RX-8 now for some track duty and HPDE fun on the weekends. It just seems damn near impossible finding a good, clean, stock RX-8 without a sunroof (so I can fit with a helmet).
Looking forward to joining this community and having some fun with a rotary powered car!

Welcome!
I made some edits, as FS/WTB threads are not permitted outside of the Classifieds section. Yes, I know you can't post a thread there yet, but that is intended. We want you to be a member of the community before you create threads in the Classifieds. Please see the announcements at the top of the New Member subforum for more information on that.

Welcome!
You've made a suitable choice for autocrossing and track day fun.
I don't think there are many stock cars out there better than RX-8 for autocrossing.
Good luck with your search.
