Hey there guys. Just got an 04 RX8 6 speed yesterday. Found you guys when i was researching things before buying the car and thought I'll join you guys once i purchase the vehicle. My car is bone stock. Its a dark greenish color with black plastidip wheels (for the moment). I really plan on hanging out with people in my area and going to some meets and learning more about rotary engines. Only thing i really know is that they flood easy if you don't know what you're doing but i'm sure I'll learn from everyone. As far as my previous car it was a 2001 Mustang GT 5 speed. Got rid of that and wanted to go for a change and so far pretty happy i did so. RX8 is more comfortable than my GT but obviously slower. However, I'm pretty happy i switched this car is really fun to drive. If anyone else lives nearby we can definitely set up some meets and hang out.

Welcome! I really hope you got a compression test. Look around the forum for all of your questions. You'll be surprised how much info you can find. For meets, check in NE forum

Compression Test? Can I go to Mazda for that? Also is there like a known issue that a compression test would be needed?

comp test is done at a mazda dealer, a rotary shop or someone with the propper tool. hot starts are the #1 symptom of low compression
