Hey guys, I'm new here. I picked up a 2006 Touring 6MT back in October. Originally I was planning on doing a track car build, but the more I drive it the less I want to gut it.
The car had 122k miles and was bone stock on the stock engine. I didn't bother with a compression test as I knew it would be pretty bad with it's high mileage. It starts slowly cold and hot, but at least it starts consistently. I have an N3R3 starter waiting to go on, a FEED intake, and I just put it on Enkei PF01's with 245/45r18 Hankook Ventus V12 Evo tires. I plan on just keeping it and cleaning it up slowly.

I'm just north of San Diego.
Cerritos is kind of a long drive ahaha. Maybe one day I'll make it but for now I try and attend more local meets on the weekends. Thanks for the invite though!

Had the car for about a year and a half now!
Things that has changed are:
Bilstein PSS9 coilovers
LRB undertray
Tomei shift ****
Suede steering wheel stitch on cover and suede shift boot
Optima Yellowtop
BHR midpipe
Parts waiting to go on:
FEED Intake
FEED radiator cap
FEED spoiler
N3R3 starter
NGK Ignition coils, plugs, wires
Greddy SP exhaust from Sake Bomb
Greddy oil pan
Greddy oil fill cap
Greddy pulleys
Plans/Car needs:
New fluids(coolant, trans and diff fluid)
SSV solenoid is throwing a code and sticking so that will need to be replaced
Evo 8 hood vent(bidding on one now)
Paint
Alignment
Suspension bushings
ECU tune
Coolant hoses
Cooling fan mod(may get temp to turn on lowered in the tune)
Fix up the interior a bit more
As you can see I'm trying to buy only high quality parts for my high mileage faded paint rx8. It's nice to give one of these cars the love it deserves.
