New Owner of an 04 AT
Hey all intro here for myself.
Name is Nathan and I just got a black base 04 AT.
I'll be browsing contributing and stealing info off this site as I get more and more into my "new" car :D
I will throw some pics up and some info when I get the time/chance/initiative.
Located in the DFW area so if anyone else is here in Tx would love to meet you guys/gals and learn from you.

Welcome to the club
Enjoy the car, and don't forget to read up on the new owner's guide by RIWWP.
There's a boatload of helpful information there to get started off on the right foot.
Some basic tips:
Since you have an 04, you might want to check your ignition systems health.
That includes - coils, sparkplug wires, and the sparkplugs themselves.
Also a compression test wont be a bad idea either :D
Lastly, remember 5w30 oil at minimum for Texas heat.
Other than that, have fun with the car.

Ended up using M108 Mobil 1 oil filter (same as my 2010 r6) and running conventional 5w20 Mobil 5000 oil. Whole process took less than an hour which wasn't bad considering it was my first mechanical work on an 8.
monchie I'll get some pics up after I finish claybarring and waxing the car.

Alright long time coming I know sorry
First pic is before i got wheels and tires on it last two are literally right after i put the wheels and tires on.
Currently running into an idle issue but will be doing a decarb clean on the 8 tomorrow when i have the day off.
Will also be starting to premix tomorrow when i fill up. Just need to stop and get a bottle of 2 stroke to start the process.
