FL New Owner(kinda) Fresh rebuild. Basic questions.

So i purchased my 04 RX8 GT in Feb. and it came with a blown motor. No compression on the front rotor at all. Did a rebuild using atkins rebuild kit and Atkins cryo treated seals and new bearings. Had to replace the front housing, rotor, rear iron and center iron. Put it all back together and installed the motor. Fuel pump was bad so it wouldnt run properly. Replaced the fuel pump and was finally able to get it to start with a little oil added through the intake service ports and could hold RPMs steady at 2k but it would not idle. After about 10 minutes I heard a metal squeaking sound. Pulled the engine back out and the front stationary gear bearing, needle bearings, oil pump, rear housing and other parts were toast.

Just finished up a 2nd rebuild with lapped irons and 2 perfect(but used) rotor housings. Replaced all the messed up parts. The motor is reinstalled. It will NOT start by itself nor idle. It requires a little bit of oil added in but once its going it will hold RPMs at 1k with my foot on the gas. I assume since its a fresh rebuild the compression is a little too low to start on its own or idle on its own. Coils are brand new(OEM), plugs are new(NGK), wires are new(NGK). No vacuum leaks(all hoses have been replaced and tested with a vacuum tester)

Would the next step be to drive it around to build the compression? Will it take longer with the Atkins Cryo seals?

If you need more information just ask.

UPDATE: So heres an update. Got it holding at 1k for a little bit today and now it has enough compression to start without added oil in the chambers when cold. I also realized that when I cleaned my MAF sensor i kinda failed and cleaned the "Bulb" for the IAT thinking that was the MAF.... So that might be why i cant idle right now.

EDIT: Well thanks for the help I guess... Drove it 70 miles yesterday and it now idles and hotstarts. However my Battery Light came on and i have lost power steering and My Radiator Fans are not running.
