New owner needing help (engine problems)
#104
Hmmm, odd. I definitely remember seeing the page refresh with the post. But whatever. Anyways, what I posted was that I've been planning a rebuild for the last few weeks. I'm just trying to make sure there are no remaining issues that can kill the rebuilt engine. Bad/faulty ignition, clogged cat, cracked fuel pump, bad ess sensor, etc. Could all cause major issues with the rebuild right? Same with the heavily corroded grounds?

The fuel pump and cat for sure, the rest are still things that need to be solved. If there is anything old about any part of your cooling system, add that to the list to replace.

Hence why I have gutted the cat, replaced the fuel pump, done the LS ignition upgrade, replaced the plugs, and replaced the ESS sensor. I plan on replacing the thermostat, fans, and radiator as well. Any tips on where to find an aluminum radiator for an 04 automatic?

Had my engine rebuilt. Sounds good. Only problem now I was told is that when my cooling fan goes to turn on if shuts of my engine. Was told that it may be a shortage in the fan somewhere and I should have the cooling fan replaced. Can anyone clarify this and what is going on?
