Ok! I got the switchblade key to replace the “Credit Card” key and remote. The problem I’m having now is the new switchblade key will not push all the way into the ignition because of the piece highlighted in yellow. My question is can I simply remove that piece or am I put a cool $200 for the switchblade key? The new key performs everything accept starting the car. 😨😨

The CC key starts the car. The switchblade key was cut and the locksmith tells me that the black piece I’ve highlighted won’t let the settled key push all the way into the ignition. It works on the fires and trunk. As I watched him I could see that it wouldn’t push all the way in the ignition like the CC key does. I also have 3 fobs for the ignition, the kind you just leave in the ignition and again e of those will turn the ignition either?? Very odd to me and I do not want to drop another $200.
From what I’ve read, the fob stays in the ignition and will only work if you have your CC key with you?? I love this car but, what a nightmare this has been so far.

You need to make the original system work. The switchblade key is not meant to fit in there and it's causing you headaches that distract from the solution. I'm not sure how easy removing that piece is, I imagine it's in there pretty securely.
Can you go back to the part where the original fobs won't stay in? Can you take a picture of how they sit in there?

I'm not super familiar with those fobs, but I don't think they have any functionality, it's just plastic. For the car to turn on it needs to recognize your credit card key.
Does it do the autolock/unlock when you get close/farther from the car? Are all the fobs and keycards original to the car? Do the lock/unlock buttons work?

I am confused as to what the real issue is!!!!
Here is how mine works. Let us know what is not working for you.
This is how the complete assembly looks like. I turn this by hand to start the car, without inserting a key, it should start the car provided your CC proximity fob is inside the car and is properly programmed to the car.
Here I removed the top cover to reveal where I can insert the key to start the car. Seems like this can be taken off, probably by removing the two screws that I can see through the two holes top and bottom using an appropriate flathead screwdriver.
This is the light on the CC proximity fob. If this flashes when you press a button then your battery in the CC proximity fob is good, otherwise replace it with CR2025, which you can order pretty cheap from Amazon or Ebay. Installation is pretty easy, search Youtube for video instructions or PM me.
This is the key hidden inside the CC proximity fob. I can use this to unlock doors, trunk and start the car if my CC proximity fob is not working for some reason.
With the CC proximity sensor in my pocket, or in close proximity to the car otherwise, I press this black button to unlock or lock the car. The car beeps twice when it unlocks and beeps once when it locks.

Last photo uploaded as a video
It shows one of the two tiny buttons on the ignition cover. To remove the cover I press both buttons and pull the cover out and off to reveal the key hole.

Ignition fobs
i have the ignition fobs just like yours in the first picture. None of them will actually turn over the ignition even with the cc remote on hand. I am having to use the hidden key in the cc remote to start my car. That is the issue I’m having. I know the black fib is supposed to stay in the ignition and I shouldn’t have to use the hidden key in my cc remote.

Does the light flash when you press a button?
Now I understand that your CC proximity fob either has dead battery or is not programmed to your car. Tell us which is it?

What are you calling the fob?
OK, I went to my car and unlocked it with the CC remote, then left the remote far away from the car, came back and got in the car and trued to turn the ignition. It did not let me turn it at all. So it gets locked if you do not have the CC remote inside the car or if it is not programmed to the car. If you are able to unlock/ lock your car using the CC remote, watch the following video, it might help you. Otherwise a dealer or someone else who can program your CC remote is an option.

Hope this helps
This is the credit card (CC) key fob or proximity remote. Please answer all the following questions: 1. By pressing the unlock button on this are you able to unlock your car? 2. If you have this in your pocket and you press the black button on your car’s door handle, does it beep?
This is not the fob, this is just a plastic cover that goes over the ignition.
