New RX-8 Owner from SoCal!
Hey everybody, Jaybee here. I had posted 2 previous intro threads but i guess they didnt go through. Anyways, glad to be here! I live in SoCal, specifically the IE and i work in the OC.
I bought my 05 RX-8 about a little over 2 months ago and so far all i've done to it was a muffler delete and Racing Beat springs. It's pretty loud, but im sure not as loud as it could be lol. When i bought it, i had looked at the papers inside the glove and apparently it was rebuilt 3k miles before it went on sale. The rebuild (with clutch components) was at 128k done in Jan 2015 and when i bought it in September of 2015, it was at 131k. It runs like new!
Before this i drove an NA miata and a DE 350z and compared to those two, i definitely love my RX-8 more. Don't get me wrong, i loved my Z (hence my IG name), but damn the RX-8 is is just a more rewarding, wholly better, well-rounded, balanced car.
I'm fairly new to rotary engines but im learning as i research. I really must say, the engine itself and the design is pretty amazing. thanks to a good friend of mine (who also drives a 350z and an S2 rx8), i've been converted into a dorito-lover.
