New rx8 owner advice
Just purchased a 2004 RX8 GT with 75k miles on it. Very new to rotary motors and would like any advice on proper maintainence so I don't damage it. Aside from doing frequent oil changes of non synthetic, what else should I watch for? Any advice at all is appreciate thanks guys!

Basically just take car of it as you would any other car, check the oil every other fill up, i use 91 or 93 for gas (people will argue about that) redline it once in a while to clean the carbon build up. Mostly just be safe with it. With 75k miles if it was taken care of by the previous owner then you should be fine. It will burn oil, about a quart every 1000 or so miles. If you notice its more then that start to watch out. Theres many forums for new owners. Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the RX8 family.

The oil can be synthetic. The most experienced rotary engine builder in my state who has been racing Mazdas for 30 years, swears by Amsoil XL 5w30. Says you can definitely see the difference when you pull the engine apart.
