ok, well you also need to wrap that EPS cable in electrical tape to cover up the exposed wiring where it rubbed the covering off. That’s on the positive battery terminal and hot so it’s open to being an electrical short if something metallic touches it. I think you found it though.

Update: so I have bought a parts car and a new battery and new terminals again. The brand new 120 amp fuse I ordered was not right for the rx8. I did take the 120 amp fuse from the parts car and put it in the car and I got power back. I went to crank it and the same thing happened, a click and I lost all power going anywhere again. I have a correct 120amp fuse coming, but the in the car still looks good and and has continuity across it. So, I guess I will see what happens when I get the new fuse. Does anyone have good battery cables they want to sell me? Not sure if I am even allowed to ask that.
