Hello, I recently bought one RX8 04 with 231hp after reading and getting information.
First of all thank you all for the really good information in this forum and rx8help
Let me introduce this beauty.
As you can see it has a lot of silicone hoses from Samco Sport. Sohn adapter with aluminion reservoirs. The battery was bad and now it has a Varta. I should go to a Mazda dealer to get new battery terminals.
It has the new version starter.
I have a few questions,
When using the Sohn adapter a good oil still bein the Idemitsu 10W30 or there is a better one?
For the Sohn the best is the Idemitsu premix oil?

Good idea with the aluminum reservoirs I hope to do the same mod very soon.
Oil is not really meant to burn but it wont hurt to inject clean oil. If you are adding premix to the gas/petrol and then filling the sohn with it as well, the only issue is cost $$$
Idemitsu premix is branded and designed for the rotary, its designed to burn
Very nice car. Please tell me you aren’t running it with the radiator cap off haha. What’s the reason you had to take it off? You can use Idemitsu, it’s designed to be used in these engines. Is it the “best oil”? That’s debatable, but it is definitely a top tier oil.
Idemitsu is fine, but it's expensive for what it is. Any JASO FD 2-stroke oil is fine for injection.
For motor oil there are many synthetic options that similarly cost less and are easier to find than Idemitsu. There is a Used Oil Analysis thread which may give you some indication of what other folks are running and the condition of the oil after some time. Since you have a Sohn adaptor, you don't need to compromise between oil that's good for injection and good for bearings, and just get one that is good for bearings.
