Hi I have done a quit a bit of looking and can’t quite to seem to find exactly what I’m looking for. And before anyone says sell it and buy a manual I’m not going to I’ve been a tech for about 8 years and so I do know how to turn wrench just looking for information because I understand the fundamentals of what I need for a manual swap but I’m looking for the easiest way to swap a 4 port auto to manual thank you

There's a couple of problems with that. The 4-port automatic ECU gets vehicle speed from a sensor on the trans, but the manual trans has no such sensor, manual 8's use wheel speed sensors for that. So you'll need a manual ECU. With that manual ECU you might need the correct harness, I'm not sure about this part. If you do, though, you'll need it (and the ECU) from outside North America since no manual RX8s were sold with a 4-port here. Harnesses have LHD/RHD differences, so you're into very weird territory trying to find a 4-port LHD harness. If you were starting with a 6-port auto it would be more feasible.

Bolting up the trans and adding clutch hydraulics and such is the easy part

So.. yeah. Sell it and buy a manual, unless you hate your money and time for some reason.
