New from Texas
Hey everyone,
New RX8 owner. I recently purchased a 04 with 93k with 6 miles on the new engine. I was glad I spent some time researching on this site before the purchase or I might have been swayed away from what is an awesome car. Though I am already learning the sweet joy of working almost constantly on these cars. I replaced the plugs coils and wires after I bought the car. Just replaced the rear O2 sensor, and installed a greddy cat back. Looking to get a midpipe or new high performance cat. I think the BHR is where I am going for this mod. Has anyone got any experience with the BHR cat? Ive seen lots on the midpipe, but nothing on the cat. Anyway I have rambled on. Look forward to meeting some of you.

Hey Taco. What part of Texas? Am in DFW. You'll get a lot back and forth between cat/cat less. Ultimately it boils down to what are your purposes for the car? Track or daily driver? If daily driver, do you want to risk the ticket and finding one for inspection?
I went the route of Rotary Performance supercat with stock resonator welded in line with Racing Beat cat back system. Keeps it legal, sounds nice to me, and frees up a bit.

I have no problem risking not having a cat since there is no sniffer test in Bell county. this is my DD though, but I would eventually like to get it on a track since my risk aversion is toward a ticket for speeding. I would also like the CEL gone so I will look onto the cobb AP too. Decisions decisions. Maybe I'll catch you at a CCM or something.
