Newbie needs help with question
Hi, just got another rx8 after many years of having to say bye bye to our old one.
This one had the wires from the stereo unit cut (no idea why te previous owner did this) but I don’t know what the wires are meant for as I don’t have the plug shown in the photos…just the wire still attached to the wiring loom.
Any help would be great..I wasn’t able to post in the tech help section.
The ash tray and radio are all plugged in etc, the ash tray light is plugged in…it’s not the cigarette lighter thing either as that’s also plugged in already. Same with the air con stuff.

That looks like it may plug in at the E-Brake. I just went through this on mine, but I don't have a picture of it. I just remember a random wire there and found that it reached and fit with a plug at the ebrake.

Could it be plugged into this?
the air con doesn’t seem as cold as what I thought, guessing this needs to be plugged in for it to read the temperature Yeh?
hopefully it’s right.
can’t seem to find the wiring diagram for the inside cabin temperature sensor.
Any9ne able to send me a link etc?

The female end looks the same...what is that black thing..
a blanking plate?.
If the ac isn't cold enough turn on the ac ..confirm the light is on on switch...then look into the engine bay and look at the compressior theres a triangul shaped unit with metal nipples on the front ..Bottom right pulley..the triangle and nipples should be spinning..that's the ac clutch pack..
turn off the ac ..
the clutch pack at the front should no longer be spanning but the belt will still be running..
This will confirm the clutch operation..
if its not working or it is and still not cold it probably needs regassing...get it done in a garage or there's kits available for DIY..
if it still doesn't work there maybe a leak on the ac radiator or lines..you will have to diagnose further..
its probably the gas tho
