Lots of stuff can be the reason.
Oil consumption is based on Load (basically)
So if you're driving like an old lady you'll use a lot less then you will driving like the Stig at the track
This doesn't mean perhaps the oil injectors are clogged or a failed OMP>
Do you have a CEL?

If you are that worried about it, look at a vac hose diagram and take the vac line off the intake that runs to the omp nozzles. Spray some throttle body cleaner into the hose and then plug/cover the line with your finger. Make sure to plug the intake side with your finger as well. while you have both plugged, have someone start the car and let it run for at least a minute. You might have to give it a little gas for a few seconds while the cleaner goes through before it holds idle on its own. Connect the hose back to the intake like normal and that is the "poor mans" method of cleaning the omp nozzles if i do say so myself. It may help clean out debris which would obviously be a huge issue.

Furthermore, as a safety precaution (in order to be sure that your engine has some lubrication) I would premix with synth. 2-stroke oil in the gasoline (1:150-200) untill you have found the reason why you have no 4-stroke oil consumption at all (if)......premix will not harm at all.........

Sounds normal.
I never have to fill up oil between oil change within my 8years+ of ownership.
I go to track and redline it on the highway from time to time, but never have to fill up oil
Some engine burns more, some less.
As long as you don't have performance issue, you are fine.

I HATE SPEEDBUMPS!
Would be nice if you ain't burning oil, so that you don't have to worry about checking it every gas fill-up or so, and buying extra oil to top it off. I know this shouldn't happen because the rotary engine should burn oil...that's the way it is.

Monchie, that might be a new low for you.
You can stop all oil burning if you want, but you will lose your engine in return. Under no condition would it be "nice" if a rotary isn't burning oil.

Shinka, start putting that money aside you have been saving on oil and stuff for your motor, it wont be too long before youll be needing another.
Like everyone has said (well the people who arent being sarcastic and actually know how the motor should behave), you have an issue. Try the method i mentioned, its the cheapest and easiest method you can attempt to make sure your injector nozzles are alright
