I am aware that there are two coolers mounted behind the front bumper, Are they both engine oil coolers and are BOTH of them completely necessary. Would you be able to run say an engine oil cooler on one side and a Power Steering cooler for example on the other without overheating issues?
Thanks
bro... we have electric power steering.
that said my car overcools during street driving, but I need both oil coolers on track
SUCKS, because I'm a synthetic oil guy for over 20 years on all my vehicles... With a Sohn Adapter, one can run synthetic oil and the 2 stock oil would be in the Sohn Adapter tank. My only choice is to premix.
you can run refined synthetic group 3 oils like mobil1. But don't run group 4 or 5 PAO or ester based oils. Mobil1 is not true synthetic, its highly refined hydrocracked dinosaur base stock
I thank you for the information... but I cannot find anything under refined synthetic group 3 oils under Mobil 1? So sorry to ask dumb questions, but can you be a little more specific and to what I should be looking for... I really appreciate the help.
Got my RX8 a while back and found this very useful and was happy I bought a pretty standard one and thought the only mod was a larger exhaust which looks and sounds nice. Then when checking the fuse box I found this Microtech X4 IGBT. I assume it is something that changes the dwell or something else to do with ignition? Also concerning is the unconnected wire. I do know if I disconnect it the car doesn't run. What is it and should I get rid of it? If so how?
