AU Newish driver I just bought a Rx8 and Im close to my p plates.

have just purchased a 2004 Rx8, non running. Now the deal was to good to pass on I plan to 13b swap from a rx7 and from my research it should be allowed on Victorian power to weight ratio rules. As from what Ive seen the 13b-dei make 109kw (130kw per metric tonne according to vic roads). And then off my p's then I can turbo it? Im just wondering is this actually possible and are there any set backs to doing this? Cheers.

Why not just repair or replace the renesis? The DEI makes half the power and will cost far more in time and effort to make work in the rx8?

If you want more power, get the 13b-REW out of an FD. It'll still cost quite a bit to get going but at least it'll be worth it.
