No CEL with key on

No CEL with key on
Like it say's, no CEL with key in the on or run position, however the car runs great. Checked for codes with AP nothing though, so Im sure the car either has a blown bulb, or the CEL is not getting power. I know with the GMs if there is no CEL there is no power to the ECU.
Anyone have this problem, have the diagram to trace this down with.
Oh and I can take a good amount of bashing if this sounds stupid.

Expecting the check engine light to come on before I start the car. Everything else lights up until I start it, then they all go off. There is no light for the CEL. I see all of these but the CEl light.

Ahhh i see what you are saying now. Not sure if this thread will help you out, but it is indeed very rare for the lights to burn out.

Thanks, thats a start. I bought it used, with zero history, but its been a good car. Been slowly fixing some of the little things before I go FI. Just knew I wasn't crazy for not seeing it.

Thanks again for the info, that was exactly what was wrong. I hadn't noticed before that there was no batt light as well. When I bought the car it had a nissan Alt. on it( Im in Dubai there is only mine and one other on the road here), and some dodgy wires running to the fuse box. I purchased a ALT., and connector from a member here and fixed it.
So when I started to pull the cluster out I knew what was up. The two screws on the bottom were gone, missing screws on the plastic cover, and a slab of electrical tape covering both the CEL, and Batt lights, as well as a piece wedged down in the window for the batt light.
All good now thanks for the help.
