Not So New but New :)

Hey guys,

So I have been on the forums for a little while now. I haven't posted much because I look up everything I needed for the car.

So I figure it's time to get into the talk.

I will start out by saying:

Hi I'm Robb and I am a rotaryholic lol

I bought my 2006 GT Velocity red with 48000KM In April 2013. It was not the greatest time, I actually didn't even really want it at the end of it all because of the guy at the dealership, but that's a story for another time.

I am on a second engine because the previous owner had no idea what to do with a rotary engine and then the dealership screwing around with it again with no knowledge.(Bought from a Nissan lot) The engine was warrantied and found out I have it till April of 2014(WINNING)

I live up in Northern Alberta Canada. The cold dark pits of hell are not far from here lol. I will not be driving this gorgeous beast in the winter. The thought did cross my mind, and I was getting ready to buy some winters for her. But decided not to as I would be afraid of someone hitting me let alone hitting someone else.

No mods have been done YET. I am working on that this winter. Thus being said if anyone has ANYTHING they would like to sell or suggest, I would be very much inclined to consider the offers.

My first piece is going to be a cobb tuner I think. I have been looking into one for a while now, trying to by used off here, but no luck.

After that it will be a toss up for the "Need to replace" parts such as rotors, brakes, tires, Ignition. That kind of things.

Problems I have encountered thus far are:

The condensation in the tail lights. I drilled small holes in each to drain the water but still looks like crap with the haziness left over.

The coolant tank fill light. It's full. Light is on and off at will. Unplugged ATM.

Other than the engine replacement......and the very long wait of babying the break in period, nothing else has surfaced. She's clean couple dings in the paint which I am pissed off about but will address next spring.

Future plans the car will be a 13BREW but not for at LEAST 5 years when I get my Machinist ticket and everything else sorted out.

Anyways that's about all I got for now.

No upgrades have

Welcome, tail light condensation & Coolant tank issues are relatively easy fixes.
Machinist ticket?
You mean like an official certification after formal training?
I'm a CNC machinist, learned on the job, though.

That's good.
Job satisfaction is a plus imo, I enjoy my work.
We make industrial water pumps.
Fire, flood control, sewage, some desalinization. Pretty good job security so far, people will always need water in some form or another. Going on 14 years with my current job.
