Hey guys, my names Greg, I'm 22 years old living not far outside of Toronto, ON. I graduated college in April from Computer Engineering, landed myself a sweet job in the health care sector here, and after what seemed like (and probably was) years, I am proud to finally have an RX8 to call my own.
This weekend I bought a brilliant black 2006 RX8 with 86,000KM (~50k miles). The car came with a few extras, black OZ Ultraleggera rims, original OEM tires and rims with 25,000km, and winter tires on steel rims (yes, unfortunately, it will have to brave the winter this year, it has been through 1 winter before). It also came with a few bottles of oil and a lightweight strut bar. The previous owner also included, but not installed, clear corners, a mishimoto carbon fiber intake and AP underdrive pulley kit.
I had the car compression tested before I bought it, the numbers came in at:
Rotor 1 @ 250rpm - 7.8, 7.8, 7.7
Rotor 2 @ 250rpm - 7.8, 7.7 7.9
This is at ~750ft above sea level, but I'm not sure if that has much effect. Reasonable numbers, and there is warranty valid until September 2014.
Can't thank this club enough for all the knowledge I've gained that helped me with this purchase. My advice for future buyers, do it right. I drove 6 RX8's before I chose the one for me, got it compression tested, and turned out a very happy guy. It wasn't easy being that patient, and I hope I'm not speaking too soon when I say it pays off in the end.
The weather has been consistently rainy since this weekend, so I haven't had any great photoshoots, but here's one for now to please the masses. Will have more later.
