Oil changes--Walmart??

Really curious so I can sleep tonight lol. I need to bring in oil change records to the dealership tomorrow. My current car had a previous owner that didnt keep no oil change records for himself, but says he got them all done at the walmart near where I live. Does walmart keep records of this for the past 6-7 years?? Really curious

Highly unlikely that a big-box store keeps much in the way of records of that nature. If they did, they would probably only be able to access them by sales slip number, which you won't have. Auto service is a secondary service for stores like WalMart so I would be very surprised if they even had one year's worth of records. If the dealer gets really **** about records, try contacting Mazda N.A. and plead your case to their customer relations department. I can't see them telling you to take a hike as that would be lousy PR, something big corporations avoid like the plague, as a rule.

Well don't go empty handed, they will deny you. I have seen it many times, especially with guys like me who never let anyone else change their oil and did not keep receipts. On my second reman at 96,000 miles they hassled me about it and all I had was one receipt from a jiffylube that I just happened to let change my oil once since I was going thru a divorce at the time and had no place to do it. Luckily those guys had no problem getting me enough receipts to satisfy Mazda.

Oh... So the whole Jiffylube isnt a joke? So if walmart has NO records, i should honestly plea my case to a place like this and just pay them however many "oil changes" i need to show proof for?

Dont they keep dates on receipts that are printed out?

Im ready to not get approved.. Only have 6 oil changes to turn in, because it turns out the other place that the previous owner had oil changes, delete their data base after a year... So welp.

You are only expected to provide proof during your ownership.
