Opinions on reusing seals
So I built a renesis, and all was well until I found half of a bearing in my oil 3500 miles later. I replaced apex, side, and corner seals in my previous rebuild but reused housings and irons the way they were. I'm planning on replacing the housings and lapping the irons on my next build. Are there major downsides to reusing apex and/or corner seals that have so few miles on them? Will it lengthen the break-in procedure significantly to use such lightly used seals on new mating surfaces? It'll be getting new side seals regardless so this question is only for apex and corner seals. I would appreciate any info you guys have.
