P0037 and p2070
Ok. So before I had the code for the cat converter 02 sensor because I'm catless. I put an extender and reset the code via a scanner and now that code is gone and in left with 0037 and 2070. I know the 2070 is the intake valve code so I'm not worried about that. I'm wondering why I'm getting the 0037 code for O2 sensor heater control circuit low bank 1. How the hell do I fix that ? And what does that mean in rotary rx8 speak ?

The answer's right in the description of the code. The heater circuit low means wiring to the rear O2 sensor, or the sensor itself are damaged. The sensor includes a heater to bring it up to exhaust temperature, if that's not working, you get that code. You can try a new sensor or you can examine the wiring to see if it was pinched or cut somewhere. I'm thinking sensor though.

Our cars computer is smart enough that an extender isnt going to trick it. It sounds like when installing the extender you probably broke the O2 sensor internally (these parts are extremely delicate).
If you are staying catless then no need to worry about the rear O2 sensor, really. If you are trying to keep the car from having the engine light to pass emissions testing, just know that the extender is 85% likely to not work how you want it to.

from what im gathering if u dont have a cat you will throw a code. im trying the extender route just as a quick fix so i can pass emissions and get my car inspected. if not then i have to replace my whole exhaust or download a tune that omits the code.

A lack of cat should throw a P0420 code.
If you have no cat and add an extension tube or defouler, you'll probably get a P0139 code (the ECU checks for these tricks by intentionally cycling between lean and rich to make sure the front and rear O2 sensors agree).
P0037 means you damaged the sensor or wiring. Disconnect and reconnect the sensor and see if that fixes it. If not, test the wiring. If the wiring is good, replace the sensor.

IDK how you can pass inspection with a catless 8. Some places are stricter than others, but that stank is a dead giveaway.
As mentioned, replace the sensor if it's damaged and run a tune to block the code.
