P0661 P02259 Solenoid Valves
Hello,
I have been reading several threads and am going to replace my SSV valve due to an P0661 circuit low code. I have found this parts listing and was curious if this is an appropriate replacement for the SSV (I know all 3 valves are interchangeable) https://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/20...ing_valve.html ? I would likely go with the Dorman for reliability, but because the description says "Evap Solenoid Valve" i'm just not certain if this is also an interchangeable valve and would like a more experienced opinion.
I'm obviously looking for the best option at the most reasonable price. I am a mechanic, new to rotary's but still perfectly qualified to replace this part myself to save on any labor costs. I would like to find something $60 or less for the valve. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Mike
P.S. I will be working on my profile (signature and all) and post an appropriate introduction asap

I bought the Dorman solenoids before. Had to replace them with OEM in about 4 months because one of them broke. This is one part I wouldn't buy cheap for due to its importance. You are better off biting the bullet and getting 3 of them from Mazda.

I agree that oem parts quality is by far the best. You can likely find a used set from a lower mileage car that's being parted out if you don't want to bite the bullet on new parts prices.

i got the standard motor products valves from rock auto and they appear to be the OEM manufacturer. they have the same mitsubishi logo on them as the ones that came on the car. they cost $51 each. i replaced all 3 using the great instructions on this site.
