Performance exhaust?
I have a stock car... ordering k&n filter. I am an rx8 noob... what are a few of the performance exhaust systems out there that you are running and do you like your system and why? Thanks.

Water Foul
Don't do the K&N filter. It does not filter well enough for this car. Race teams use OEM filters and use them for a reason.
There are really no performance gains to be had by changing the muffler. The only reason to do it is sound and/or appearance. As for sound, spend some time searching YouTube to find something you think you like, then search here for information about that model.

Thanks I've read here that cat back exhaust can ad zero power gain and it's the sound I'm after. My phone doesn't pick up the tones well at all... nor do my pc speakers...can't catch a break there.
I am looking for a low refinance... low and loud. I loved the sound of the Flowmaster 40 on my 5.7 HEMI I'm unsure how to know what I like on a rotary with my speaker set up limiting things.

If money isn't an issue, BHR offers a long tube header that claims substantial HP gains.
I have the BHR resonated midpipe and stock exhaust.
Deeper tone with no rasp.
I also bought the ignition kit and fuel pump ring tool.
Excellent products and customer service.

I have the catted BHR midpipe because I was forced to do emissions with my car, and an HKS Hi-Power. It... can be loud, is the only way to put it. If I'm puttering around in town I try to keep my car right under 3k, because anything over that becomes OMGWTFRACECAR loud. It's an excellent combination with great tone, at 8K+ it sounds like a very angry F1 car, just slow.
As far as an intake goes, Rev-i, AEM, or OEM. Realistically, you could get a hi-flow filter for the OEM but even then it's a waste. I've got the AEM and I'm telling you it's a waste, and you need to leave the lower under-tray in for cooling. You honestly may as well just leave the stock airbox in and just keep on top of filter changes. The OEM box is fantastic at filtering and keeping things cool, as it was designed pretty damn well. Tertiary to that - I'd read the "New Owners start here" thread, keep on top of oil changes and maybe consider premixing.
OH, and by the way, I can't tell from your photo but you still have the lower splash tray under the front end of your car installed, right? If not, you should put it back ASAP.
