CA Power steering outage

Has anyone out there had repeated power steering problems? I had mine go out about 4 times. Every time, the problem just seems to "fix itself" by restarting the car. My mechanic took a look and he was stumped.

Check all of the connectors to make sure they are plugged in securely.

it's your power steering harness.
Either coolant fluid leaked on it from the overflow hose or the harness just went bad.

It's happened to several members here (myself included)
Let me find you the sticky thread...

here you go: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tro...ailure-107481/

short version of that thread: Try cleaning the connectors with electrical parts cleaner but be prepared to replace the harness if that doesn't work.
