Premix bottles

Thought I'd share this find with the other noobs like me.

Amazon Amazon

They hold 8oz when filled to the big flange (probably more like 8.8 if you filled it to the brim)
They seal and re-seal nicely (I've had a full one lying on its side for 2 days to see if it leaks... clean so far)
They're cheap enough. (a buck a piece)
They fit snugly in an upright position in the door pockets.

I'll update as I see how well they hold up.

Good find...thanks for sharing. I use these... link below, which work great.

https://www.usplastic.com/catalog/it...x?itemid=37548

Edit: I use a long neck funnel. So, I like that these can squirt a stream to the bottom of the funnel to more quickly get the pre-mix into the tank.

I have a bunch of Rotary Bum bottles that worked pretty well. Just make sure the bottle you are buying is made of a grade that can handle petroleum products without falling apart. Rotary Bum bottles are made of HDPE, for reference. Not sure a food grade bottle can hold up long term.

Good point. I'll have to watch if she develops any allergies or odd conditions.... Seriously, I've not noticed anything odd as yet, but will routinely inspect for anything odd.

at $1 per bottle, I don't really expect them to hold up long term!

The issue is that they may start to leak, which leaves you a mess to clean up.

Same. I just keep the 2 stroke oil and regular oil strapped to the side where the expired tire repair kit used to be.

I use a MT, cleaned, partially cut-open 4L oil bottle to hold: smaller premix bottle, premix measuring device, oil funnel, paper towels, and a few other essentials in one spot. I cannot find my picture but I cut open an empty 4-5L oil bottle to use to contain dripping items.

thank you fellow RX8club'er for the photo.

I buy 4L jugs of 2 stroke and keep it in the shed. And then I keep refilling two 1L 2stroke bottles that I keep in the trunk. Use the measurements on those bottles when pouring in tank.
