radiator leak?
Okay so I live on a military base and none of our roads go above 40 mph only the high way in and out goes up to 60 needless to say I don't drive above 80 hardly ever.
My coolant light will come on and off some days very few days at that So I'll add a little coolant then goes away never any liquid on the ground.
But once like every 3 to 4 weeks it will come on away stay on and when I park and go inside for the night the next morning there will be coolant all over the ground and I've check for leaky spots find none except for the little hose at the top of the radiator (my guess is a over flow hose) it doesn't connect to anything but when there's coolant on the ground I check that little hose and I can see drops of coolant left in the hose. Can anyone tell me why it's doing this? I have stock radiator with the plastic reservoir on the top.

if a coolant seal is bad (internally) coolant will make its way into the rotor housing (think head gasket). any mechanic can do a leak down test for this. if thats the case you will also see bubbles in the coolant tank when the caps is off and the engine is running. DO NOT remove the cap if the car is running and warmed up

This actually happen last night so when I woke up for pt I saw the coolant on the ground so I started my car and popped the hood and added coolant and did not see any bubbles in the plastic tank but I could see there was no coolant left in there.

op where are you located? lots of helpful members on this site usually willing to give a hand. its tough to figure out on the net
on the rad itself, it connects to the bottom of the tank
