Random stall, no electrical power
Hello I am a new rx8 owner my car has 96,000km and has been running with no issues since I bought it.
today I was driving in the city and my car lost electrical power. Literally no lights on the dash nothing at all. It was very embarrassing. Prior to that happening I did roll down a hill in neutral. i also may have a grounding issue because I do hear a whining noise from the speaker because the previous owner had installed a aux cable. the car had no electrical power for a few minutes then got it back then it went out again.
once it started the dcs light flashed then turned off and the traction control light stayed on until I got home. The car started up fine once I got home
my rear brakes do need to be serviced not sure if this would be an issue.also my push button door entry only works sometimes. the battery terminal are clean and the maf sensor is clean

Your issue sounds like a loose ground for sure (I’ve had that exact same instance you described happen).Check the connection on the battery and also to the body of the vehicle.
My credit card remote just went out (spent $350 getting brand new one and it programmed) but yours might just need a battery.
So check the ground and the battery in your remote. Brakes have nothing to do with that stuff or shouldn’t but I’ve seen stranger things (abs could mess with dsc)
Regards, Jake
