Rear Main Seal popping out

Rear Main Seal popping out
Hello, I replaced my rear main seal as it was what I believed to be causing an oil leak a few months ago and after only a couple of miles of driving it has popped back out again. I checked this by putting a small camera up through the starter motor hole and can see it popped out. Everything was smooth when I installed it and I lightly tapped it in until it was about 1cm recessed into its hole. There is also a small amount of oil in the intake tubing which looks like it has gathered over a long time so I wasn't too worried but now I think it might be backpressure causing both of these? I checked my cat and I can see the light from a torch through the honeycomb so I don't think it is that causing the backpressure. Any insight is much appreciated, thanks.

I don't know about the rear main popping out, I guess that could be due to blowby, but blowby is definitely one reason for oil in the intake. It wouldn't be from backpressure so much as from compression getting past the side seals and pressurizing the oil pan. It's worse if you are heavy on the throttle and less problematic if you go easy.
Suggest cleaning up the intake, making sure the oil level is between low and high and seeing if the oil comes back after a bit of driving. That would confirm excess blowby. You can also put a catch can to collect the oil, but that doesn't actually fix the issue, just patch it, and it won't do much for your rear main seal problem.
What year is the car? There was a change to the positive crankcase ventilation routing after 2006. Worth checking if it's working correctly and not clogged, if the 1-way valve is operating correctly, etc.

Thanks for the response, it is a 2007 so I will check that PCV valve now. Would go for a drive to check the oil in the intake but the RMS leaks so much I can barely go a few miles!

it happens and there is an aftermarket solution, but requires pulling out the transmission and engine coupling components to get to it
this company kind is hit and miss on communication skills; use paypal and if nothing happens after two weeks or so just file a claim and they’ll eventually follow through:

I looked for one being sold but couldn't find one so thanks, but I have decided that I will just machine my own now as I can do it for a lot cheaper and don't have to deal with that bad communication. Thanks again
