Rebuilt required on my 2004 mazda RX8
Good day all,
I'm new to this forum and reading through your forum I realized there are a lot of passionate RX8 people out there and there's lots of useful information on this site. I recently bought a 2004 Mazda RX8 for my son and we just told by Mazda that the compression is low and it will need a rebuilt. We live in Ottawa and they suggested a couple of business in Toronto. Could anybody direct me to honest good mechanics that will perform a rebuilt on my son's car I would really appreciate it. As you can imagine my son is very upset and wants to drive his RX8.
Thank you for reading and have a wonderful day...

I'm not familiar with any Canadian rotary shops but you could purchase a reman engine and gasket set from the Mazda dealer and install it. Or have them install it. It will more than likely not be any cheaper elsewhere and there will be a warranty on that engine. You can always contact Dave or Kathy Atkins at www.atkinsrotary.com or have a look at www.mazdatrix.com and see what their rebuild prices are and compare tham to the Mazda dealer and any local shops that you may be directed to.
