Relay part number / type

Hey all,

Having just purchased my first RX8, I went poking about to see where things are - as you do.

One of the relays in the fusebox under the bonnet is missing its top - someone has taped over the top of it !

Its the ST relay according to the underside of the fusebox lid - i have no idea what the ST relay is for, and as the top is broken, I have no idea of a type / part number to replace it.

Any help would be great - before the relay packs up

Thanks

Have you tried searching here or on google???

Here's a hint.

Also when you make a help me thread put in as much info on the car as you can, model year, transmission, mileage, etc.

Hi, thanks for the ‘hint’
Yes, I have looked here and on Google. I have already found this diagram however, unless ive missed something, the diagram doesnt have the relay info on it - the relay in question is one of the blank squares on the diagram (3rd column from left, second one up)

I'm more of a teach someone to fish kind of guy.

You weren't sure what ST meant so I showed you the fuse diagram because it had ST spelled out as starter.

You'd then have to search for relay diagram/info not fuse.

Anywho the starter relay is below.

Hard to see in the pic, so here's a larger one.

And here's the autozone link for the part.

Sorry if I came off as an ***

I’d rather fish for myself too tbh, but they wouldn’t bite

I did figure out it was a starter thing, and I found these pics too, but again couldnt figure out what the actual relay was.

Thanks for the link

Thats another job I can cross off the list !

Yeh - it did sound a bit sarcastic lol, but we’re all good 👍

Got there in the end

Cheers
