Rotary newbie looking into getting into an rx8-insurance question
Hello I am looking into getting an rx8 it would be my first rotary experience and I'm willing to put all the time and money into the beautiful machine that is the rx8, given that it costs more to maintain than your standard sports car I am looking at insurance rates as the most likely way of cutting costs. I am 20 and have 2 auto accidents on my record and I also have a speeding ticket. With that said what would I be expected to dig out per month on insurance?
Thank you

Almost no one can offer you advice in terms of this. It's all different depending on where you live, which insurance company you use, your coverage, etc. Too many variables for anyone to give out any valuable advice.
The general idea is that since RX-8 has 4 doors, it can be cheaper to insure than most 2-door Coupes. You have to go to insurance companies and ask for quotes to find out yourself.

Well, I am in that age group.
Problem is, I live in BC, Canada, where insurance works quite differently(mandatory insurance from the provincial insurance company ICBC, and then optional insurance from 3rd parties).
I have also no accidents or tickets. Actually have a 5% discount for not having an accident for a year.
Just for reference, I spent ~CAN$2300 for annual insurance on my RX-8. This is just with the CAN$2000000 liability, CAN$500 deductible collision, CAN$300 deductible comprehensive and CAN$200 deductible windshield(with free chip repairs) insurance, leisure use only. My old Accord(a sporty FWD Coupe) cost ~CAN$2100 to have the same policy. This probably won't be what you get, though.
