Running Rich - very low AFR

Hi Everyone,

I've been having some issues with my 8 recently. The car has been running very rich. The measured AND commanded AFRs at idle are 9.5 going as low as 7.5 at WOT. (The only time the measured AFR is around 13.8 is immediately after letting off throttle after a hard pull, the commanded is still around 9.5)

I've recently had multiple misfire issues and a code for the VDI solenoid. The VDI solenoid has been replaced and that code is cleared. I was hoping that would also get rid of the misfire however that code reappeared. I put in my old OEM fuel pump as the walbro (whinebro) seemed to be whining louder than typical. The low air to fuel ratios remain, no misfire yet...

Any ideas where I should start the troubleshooting?
I'm including a few screenshots of my torque app for an idea of what is going on.

Thanks,
Mike

Just browsing this forum I noticed it should be around 11 at WOT and closer to 14-15 at idle.

I'm referring to the following thread:

Thanks for taking a look!

You know, I'm not sure how to check the PDI but I created a new one with the following:

OEM Wideband Air/Fuel Ratio
OBD2 PID: 0134
Long Name: WAFR
Short Name: WAFR
Minimum Value: 0
Maximum Value: 20
Scale Factor: x1
Unit Type: A/F
Equation: (A*256+B)/32768*14.7
Gen 1 Status:
Gen 2 Status: Working and confirmed
MS6 Status:

Everything seems to be working fine ... user error.

Thanks for your help!

yeah the car can't really read below 11. I think you have something else to look at, but just to note. On a stock tune you can get into the 9's with the command under heavy throttle. Once in open loop command and measured AFR don't match up. I beleive command is based on closed loop only.
