RX-8 shifting gears issue
Hi,

​​​​​​After Topping up the AC gas for some strange reason I'm having issues shifting gears especially reverse. The thing is that with the engine off the gears shift fine. With the engine on its like you hit a a wall you can shift in reverse. Mine is a 6 speed transmission. RX-8 2005

When the engine is off the gears aren't turning so of course it's easy.

Was AC refrigerant the only work that was done? What trans oil are you running and how old is it? Is the clutch fully disengaging when you press it?

Take the a/c belt off and see if the issue goes away....

Hey Etienne,
It's possible that the AC gas recharge affected your transmission. Have a mechanic check it out!
