Question RX8 0-60 mph

Hello I have a question regarding my 0-60. I am using That Racing Channel App to measure my 1/8th mile times and heres what it says I ran it in
60'-2.21105-18mph
330-5.298083-55mph
1/8 mile-8.525081-61mph
Can some one tell me whats wrong with this no way it takes 3 seconds to go from 55 to 61 mph. I have a 2004 6 speed. Launched at 7k rpm
Does anyone have any experience with this app?
Please Help!

Most of those apps are useless without a high quality external GPS. The GPS sensor in your phone is only accurate to about 50 feet when it is maxed out on satellites, which translates to very low precision.

Take a look at the attached image. It plots the route a friend of mine supposedly took around the track on one lap. He never actually drove into the grass, but his iPhone sure thought he did.

I'm curious as to why you are even interested in the 0-60 time of an 8. All I need to know is it is slower than a Camry and faster than a Prius. My focus is on what the car does well.

Iv had some power loss issues and I kind of use that to see if what I did to try to fix it worked at all.

I time mine with an hourglass.

He and I were trying to figure out why Harry's Lap Timer was reporting squirrely lap times, so we started plotting the GPS coordinates in Google Earth. It soon became apparent that his iPhone GPS totally sucks, and my Galaxy S5 GPS isn't all that great either. Harry's didn't stand a chance.

Galaxy S5 GPS

SkyPro External GPS (I'm red, he's green)

This might be interesting enough to start a new thread in the Racing section. I digress.

P.S. I like and respect my drive train too much to launch my car at 7K.
