Anyone know its history? Is the price fair? It seems like a rare swap, hard to price it! Thanks!

Where do I start? While I don't know this specific car, there are issues, when doing any engine retrofit that are difficult to address. Modern cars depend on multiple computers to operate. One of the biggest problems, with an engine swap, is getting the dash, power steering and other electronics to work. Are you planning on using this as a street car? This one has a roll bar. In a collision, your head could come in contact with that bar and cause a fatal head injury. Roll bars and cages are meant for cars where the driver has a helmet on.
Most people avoid a car with even a few bolt on accessories is undesireable. This has had major modifications that you have no idea what the quality of the engineering is. Yes, that amount of horsepower and torque will be fun, but this appears to be built as a track day car. Daily use appears to be impracticable.

I saw this a couple months ago, roll cage gave it away. Car is beat cosmetic wise but at the time it ran well. Had a christmas tree dash so I doubt you could legally get it on the road in many states.
I wouldn't buy it, unless I was using it for parts and then I would give 4-5K for it

Yeah, he got a lot of crap for the hazard that roll cage presents, its not mounted to any structural supports really and for all intensive purpose is just for show.
I believe its a modified AWR cage, and mounts to the floor behind the drivers seat and the mounts to the rear deck.
Like I said a nice parts car.

Can't see what the original craigslist ad actually said, but based on the little information here: I say buy it, then sell the engine to someone who knows about LS series engines (Me), remove that hideous cage, then put it back together the right way HAHA!
